Some pieces of art stay with you long after you walk away from them. For Kate’s mother, Posh by Paul James was one of those pieces…
She first saw Posh many years ago while visiting a gallery. At the time she was studying while also raising her daughters, and money was tight. She loved the painting instantly, but buying it was simply not possible. Still, the artwork stayed with her. She spoke about it often over the years, remembering the piece that had captured her imagination but never made it home.
As her sixtieth birthday approached, Kate and her sister wanted to give their mum a gift that reflected everything she had given them. Her support, her strength, and the countless sacrifices she had made for her family. There was only one present that felt right. Posh. They were determined to find it.

She followed every lead, contacted sellers and agents, checked and rechecked details, and kept the family updated at every step. Kate said it felt as if Andreea had taken their story to heart.
After a great deal of work, Andreea found a limited edition of Posh in beautiful condition. She even arranged a personal note from Paul James himself to accompany it, making the moment even more special.
When their mother finally received the painting, she cried with joy and disbelief. After so many years of remembering the artwork she had loved but could never buy, it was now hers. For Kate and her sister, being able to give her this gift was one of the most meaningful experiences of their lives.
