Worcestershire based artist, Kate Kilby, uses oil paint on canvas to create rich still life paintings which blend tradition with a contemporary twist. Kate has loved to paint from a young age, and is greatly influenced by both her paternal and maternal grandfathers, who share her passion for art and travel.
You will find decadent and indulgent colours in Kate’s work, sparking memories of Mediterranean summer evenings, or cosy winter nights spent in good company sharing a drink or two – drawing on memories from Kate’s love for travelling and spending time with family and friends.
While earning her honours degree in Fine Art at University, she honed her technical skills and developed her unique artistic style. Kate exhibited her work during her final degree programme, leading to her selling her first body of paintings to her first collectors, since then she has started to amass a loyal following.
